Definition of a ‘goal’:

the object of a person’s ambition or effort; an aim or desired result.

January 2012 Goals:

  • Keep up with textbook readings each week.
  • Start assignments with plenty of time (ie: NOT last minute).
  • Run at least once a week (since treadmill running sucks!)
  • Do yoga at least once a week.
  • Post 3 vegan recipes every Saturday.
  • Weight lift 2-3x a week.
  • Find paid position within health/nutrition field.
  • Prepare meals in advance for on-campus (ie: easy to pack and take with me).
  • Limit Starbucks to 1-2x a week.
  • Get materials and information on making a headboard/make a headboard.
  • Read one non-related school book (ie: for pleasure).
  • Incorporate one food item that I don’t normally cook with.

{December was a little hectic so I never got around to posting, let alone thinking about my goals – sorry December!}

November 2011 Goals:

  • Workout regime: Run 2-3x a week, weights 2-x a week. both were par.
  • At least once during the month try and get a 6+ mile run in. something I need to improve on.
  • One new recipe a week.  still working on it.
  • Stay on top of those textbook readings each and every week! tried as hard as I could!
  • Find a new job and/or a nutrition-related volunteer position. job still in the works. volunteer at the hospital.
  • Make food diary for at least one day each week (ie: to watch protein intake). fail…needs improvement.
  • Take vitamins everyday (yes, this is a goal when you don’t always stay on top of it!) – pretty on track!
  • And again (this was part of October’s goals), limit Starbucks to 1-2x a week. kept up with this, as well.

Conquered Goals!

Run my first half marathon by September, 2011.

  • Completed on Sunday, September 25th, 2011; full recap here.
